Self-Portrait of a Butter Lover

Day 1 Writing Prompt - Write a self-portrait with a metaphor.
This poem is about my passion for dairy with a love for pure butter. Something I was raised to know as relatable to others. I used verbs, however, not in a constant/outright action by adding the -ing to the end of those verbs.
NaPoWriMo.net provided a link to a metaphor builder. I tried it... However, I created my own metaphor through brainstorming. I utilized the word, "butter" as an action in the metaphor. They use Forrest Gump as an example to a memorable metaphor. I included the YouTube movie clip in the notes too.
Also, I went to the grocery store today and didn't see any butter in the fridge. So, I just have Country Crock Plant-based butter at home. There's so many ingredients and processed. Idk... It's not bad, It is much different than regular butter. Maybe, you should try it at least once too. Thank you for reading my poem.
