King of the jungle
Protects other animals
Courageous and powerful

Master of the pride
Sexually dimorphic
Glorious prominent mane

The Sedoka is an unrhymed poem made up of two three-line Katauta with the following syllable count 5/7/7, 5/7/7. A Sedoka may address the same subject from differing perspectives


King of the jungle since the lion protects other animals in his territory. Female lions will give their lives to protect the king.

A group of up to 25 female lions are called a Pride.

Sexually dimorphic refers to the differences between the sexes. For lions, males are larger than females. Most distinctive is the large busy mane of the male lion.
