A husband's will
Deception
by Neonewman
Evelyn wailed as her late husband's favorite gospel song flooded the church. "Why?" she bellowed. "Why?"
After the service, those who attended offered condolences. Evelyn played the distraught widow well.
The following day the will was read.
To my brother Pete, I leave half my estate.
"What?" Evelyn's eyes widened.
To my loving sister Abbey, I leave half my estate.
"Why?" Evelyn rose in disbelief.
To my lying cheating wife, Evelyn, I leave the greatest treasure of all.
My forgiveness.
