Moonlight and roses is what he gave to me
Walking on a sandy beach so lovingly
He had me by the hand so strong but yet gently
Gazing in his blue eyes so very intently

He reached up and touched my cheek
I reached over and felt his strong chest
As he knelt down to kiss me I felt so meek
Knowing he was mine was the very best

He took the rose and gently touched my hair
Knowing deep inside he would always be there
Loving him was the best thing I could ever do
Making me smile was the best that he could do too

As we said our good night our hearts skipped a beat
Knowing it would be a while before our lips would again meet
Off to dreamland I now have to go
Knowing my man really loves me so
