Hi Teri!
I just finished reading this and I must say, I enjoyed it.
I liked the way you illustrated it as well as it was easy for me to follow
along. My favorite line,
Knowing it would be a while before our lips would again meet
Off to dreamland I now have to go
Knowing my man really loves me so...
Just a beautiful way to explain how two people fall
in love and the way one feels when you have to depart..
Beautiful write.

I really like the first verse of your poem. I once held the hand of my son's biological father as we went hand in hand down the ocean's carpet feeling lovestruck and blissful. I identify with the first verse.
I am not fond of the words "chest" and "cheek" together in the second verse. It doesn't seem to read well to me.
But it is a quaint poem. I love to love and your poem reminds me of that autumn-like feeling of being in the grip of new love and it's excitement and breeze.

Overall a wonderful poem. I love you descriptions. The only thought is I wasn't sure about "strong chest". Can a chest be strong? I guess so but I would think to her it would be firm or hard. Outside of that, really wonderful. Great job.
