Oh, for that lost hour on that first morning.

The Vanished Hour

Daylight Savings Contest Winner

Hands sprang ahead, and an hour fell
Who in the hell inflicted this eerie spell?
Alarm bell jingling, I sprung from my bed
A muddling turmoil spins in my head

Coffee not brewed, I had to rush
Jammed in the morning train crush
As I cursed the stolen away hour
Emerging is a thirsting for power

Note to Congress: Do something worthwhile
Do away with the curse, join across the aisle
