Hunter? Prey?
In His Element
by Slo_6

His field of vision expanded to the full extent of its periphery. It might be found on either side, in either direction. He followed his planned route, a map based on his own hard-fought successes. Those were only past experiences, though, a grossly inadequate set of anecdotal data. The chaos of movement all around required vigilance, initiative, and improvisation.
When he found it, gaping, beckoning, and vulnerable, he urgently took position. Turning and back and turning and back, his carefully practiced motions delivered a most gratifying result.
Between his tires and the curb there was, perhaps, one inch. He was, in fact, so pleased with his proximity to both the curb and the office building that he failed to notice the additional sign below “2 HR PARKING” reserving this spot exclusively for motorcycles. Bobby didn’t even know that was a thing until he read the parking ticket two hours later.
