The kindness of a man called Father.

A Poem About a Father

by papa55mike

he's a man of great learning
but not arrogant or overbearing

he's a man of compassion
there's no violence or bitterness

he's a man with words of support
always guiding and encouraging

he's a man of enduring patience
with a quick-to-forgive heart

he's a man of great integrity
giving his all for the family

he's a man of lovingkindness
his arms are outstretched and waiting

he's a man called father
that I never knew

A poem about a Man contest entry

That's me before I turned two and my father, Vern. He left shortly after that.

I've noticed the time it takes to realize the things you lost without a father in your life. It makes it hard to accept the love that others want to give freely. The guidance you need to lead your children isn't there because he wasn't there. It took me into my fifties to figure out that the Lord had always been there as my father, and I didn't know it. It could've changed my life in so many ways.

Many thanks for stopping by to read!
Have a great day, and God bless.
