Where would we be without them?

Mother

Mistress of the hearth, effortlessly ruling
 
over that happy environment. Redoubtable matriarch,
 
tenderly harmonising each rivalrous, mischievous offspring.
 
Holding every rascal maternally, overly tight.
 
Encouraging responsible maturity, offsetting temperamental histrionics,
 
reconciling, moderating oppositional traits, hugging, enveloping.
