Blue

by gansach

It will start with his blue eyes,

bluer than the bluest skies,

devastating when he tries

to penetrate my disguise.

Dressed in blue from toe to head,

denim jacket bleached and bled,

tight blue jeans that stretch each thread,

blue suede shoes, like Elvis said.

Throwing caution to the wind,

can't resist that look of sin;

makes my careful heart to spin,

I surrender, let him win.

Skies turn blue with sheer delight,

blue moonbeams fill ev'ry night;

living in his warm blue light,

life is "blue~tiful" and right.

Don't know when I really knew

he is too good to be true.

As he disappears from view,

leaves me broken, feeling blue.
