A asked a friend to select a picture for me to write about
I love looking at the night sky
But
Tonight I find myself adrift in loneliness
The essence of you alive in my mind
While the physical you as distant as the stars above me
My fingers touch my lips remembering…. The softness of yours
My body still tingles with
memories of your touch
We are as far apart now as the stars in the heavens
But
The loneliness will forever bring you to me
