My teacher, Sister Hanny, confronted me as I arrived late for school one morning.
"Why are you late?" she demanded loudly.
"I'm sorry, Sister," I said as meekly as I could. "The clock was slow."
She sniffed. "I think it was you that was slow, not the clock," she said.
