patricia dillon: I am bereft. I received word last week that my barber, Christopher, has died. He had cut my hair for 20 years. I said to him only recently, "You're the best hairdresser I ever had." "And the cheapest," he responded. It was true. He was elderly and I must admit I wondered lately what I would do when the inevitable happened. Now the time has come. All I can do is find a new hairdresser. Wish me luck.
Irish Rain: Aww, so sorry. That happened to me once with mine. One week she was there...then she wasn't. God bless you, and his family. -
AJ McCall: So very sad to hear that. Tomorrow is never promised, but I hoped he lived his life to the fullest as your barber. Praying for his family. -
Cecilia Lynne1: Patricia I can relate personally relate to your writing. I lost my hairdresser of 25years to cancer.
It taken me into a world of reality that has me at another level of appreciation for Life and those who impact your exsistence. It has caused me to think and now act to make sure that all those around me, know that they are valued. There is now an urgency for me to voice this as often as possible so that they get to know how important they are to us. Missing my hairdresser I am questioning myself whether or not she ever knew just how much I cared. "Sharing is so important " -
