This work has reached the exceptional level
A nocturna poem for the Potlatch Club

Sheer Delight

by June Sargent



The spider faithfully will spin

and weave her silk into the night

with strands, both thick, and thin.

Meticulous, she can design

amazing webs of sheer delight

before the sun begins to shine.

As morning dewdrops kiss each strand,

the crystal gems reflect dawn's light ~

a gift from our Creator's hand.
