who strolls the woods,
tiny fairies fly
about him,
he is awed
by the minute
beings with wings
all look like him
they laugh and giggle
as if he is a sight to behold

is he losing his mind?
the smiling entities
assure him he is not
they have always been
there in the forest
but he did not see them

purple wild flowers
are the home of these
mystical creatures
the giant primate
shakes his head
one lands on his hand,
there is more to his
world than he knows
