A quatern
A quatern comprises 16 lines X four quatrains, similar to the kyrielle. It has a refrain line. Line 1 of the first stanza becomes line 2 of the second stanza. It progresses until it becomes the last line of the fourth. It has eight syllables for each line and a set rhyme scheme. this one is aabb.the 1st stanzas 1st line is 4th stanzas first.
