After reading his last poem, I felt compelled to write this

I "wish" I had six stars to give, please accept my "wish" instead I love all of your writing,  but this one made my heart feel sad I know you feel your time is close, but age is just a number The joy you bring to others, should make you feel much younger You're not on this path alone, cause many feel that way The beauty of your writing, is making someone's day We're proud to be your peers, as your age nears centenary You share a special gift from God, to us you're legendary You've given all, with all you have, so when your time here ends You'll not leave just a legacy, but great fellowship of friends. We pray for more years to come, as we love to read each word Of all your lovely poetry, cause there is only one Jaybird!
