Jaybird1~ A Legendary Poet

I feel the same way when I read this guy's stuff. I try to grab everything he has but I must miss some. I will just have to make him a "Friend"
He has some sadness to bear, it is clear. And that is so distressing because he really does write some good things. I know everybody has their own "cross to bear". It's just sometimes you don't like to have to share that cross with them.
What a way to close a very nice poem. He must feel very privileged to hear "...there is only one Jaybird." from a peer FanStory writer as accomplished as you are.
Great piece Debi. It says a lot, personally, and yet entertains the masses. I know it isn't one of your "heavier" pieces, but I liked it so much and it hit so close to home that I just had to give it six-stars.
Very well done, in more ways than one.

That is very kind of you Gary and I hope Jay sees this, as all the praise goes to him for being such an example to the rest of us. Especially to give it another one of your rare six stars truly honors him. And I thank you so much for that. Believe it or not, there are a few that I don't write for contests, like this one and mine about our Allina Clinic shooting where I go, I could not enter that out of respect for the victims. Thank you so much my friend as I know that Jay has been very touched by the kind things people have said about him.

Joanne, once again you are such a sweet and caring woman. I know Jay will love reading this lovely review for him as so many others have left such awesome messages. Those six beautiful stars are so appreciated, but that was the last thing I thought about that night. Reading his poem was the last thing I did before going to bed, and I did write a review, but never sent it as God seemed to be nudging me towards doing it. Then God actually woke me up or I woke up and God kept talking to me to write it. I thought to myself, but I don't really even know him, but God didn't leave it alone, and when He does that, I can't think of anything else. So I even thought I am not even qualified to do this, but I did, and I think you are the first one who I told the whole story to. I think because we have so much in common, so my dear dear friend, from Jaybird and myself we say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I just felt a strong urge to write a poem for her when she passed. I know that?s different but similar. Happy writing. 🙂

Well my beautiful friend, one act of kindness leads to others. After you wrote that cute one for me, I was so touched, and for the first time in my life I knew how wonderful if felt to be the recipient and feel so honored. Then God kept nudging me, even in my sleep to do something for Jay, even though I hardly knew him. He was so gracious and so kind about it that I will always remember how I felt when he said he would always remember. Now see what you started. It's so easy to be so genuine with people on FS as everyone are so supportive of each other and I'm proud to be a part of this family on the side; Hmmm, lol, sounds like a good name for a poem;
My Family on the Side." Thanks again Regina for being part of that family.

He really is an amazing poet and have read a few more of his poems since posting my own. I hope he is reading these reviews and hearing all the wonderful things his family on FS are saying about him. He truly is a very legendary man.
