Love's way

by royowen

If faith cannot be hopeless, please tell me why I weep,
and why do I wear sadness, if polluted thoughts still seep?
Within these thoughts faith's stronger, I harbour no regrets,
then why am I still weeping, if hope's sun never sets?

When surely there is nothing in my faith I do not own.
God promised me his freedom, is mine and mine alone.
We parents are the stewards that nurture godly love,
as granted in God's Heaven, agreement from above.

I pray the Lord will free me and grant me sweet release,
I gave away time's treasures, this folly should now cease.
I ask you now for mercy, don't let my poor heart break,
Lord, fill me with your comfort, I ask for Jesus' sake.

Praise God! I woke this morning, God's mercy fell at last,
my broken wings are healing, my grieving has now passed.
God's love is surely given to hold one safe and sure,
its grip will hold us gently, its promise stands secure.

We will soar upon the wind, as eagles on the wing,
our prayer and love sustain us and leads our hearts to sing.
Only few will truly know just how God's grace gives birth,
love's flower truly blossoms when God's child has grasped their worth.

This poem is based on this scripture, Psalm 30:5, but I will venture that all Christians would have felt the absence of Gods presence, but we know that He never moves, he is always by our side, as the Holy Spirits name is Paraclete, it is Greek for: walks beside, remember Footprints?
Psalms 30:5 ASV
For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a life-time: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy cometh in the morning
