You can't take back cruel words immortalized in text
Beyond Redemption

Last night, my daughter had a phone exchange with her boyfriend that spiraled into invective via frenetic texting.
Rehashing the "he said/she said" was easy. Lauren need not rely on selective memory; she had proof.
She could rerereview.
She could analyze--and agonize--to her heart's discontent.
She could--and did--tally how many times she called Mick a d!(k and how many times he called her a b!t(h. (They tied at three.)
I assume Mick did the math too.
I don't expect Lauren will disinvite Mick to her brother's wedding; given the irrefutable evidence of the ugly devolution of their relationship, a call--or text--would be moot.
