Six years ago, I attended a shower, at which the bride-to-be proudly announced she'd just learned of her pregnancy. She assured the guests the wedding would take place, as scheduled, ten months hence, with the infant in attendance.
And so it came to pass.
Michelle later confessed to a select few that, three months into her pregnancy, for health-insurance purposes, they'd gotten married.
