Null

Null

Just numb

Nothing on my mind

Thoughts hard to find

Null

Just numb

Nothing but a drone

Dull flat neurone

Just numb

Null flat senses

Just consequences

Null

Just numb

It’s all on the level

For this poor devil

Just numb

No need to hide

No scent of bromide

Not out of my mind

Not up nor down

Null

Just numb…

My entry for the Mental Health Awareness Week Contest is based on my experience of being medicated for depression for most of my life. When I write about passion it comes from the times before my diagnosis. These days if people ask do I have mental health problems I don't know how to answer, medication solves the problem. But sometimes I find myself asking at what cost.

Neurone: Is the English spelling and creates an eye rhyme with drone.
Bromide: Lithium bromide was used as a sedative beginning in the early 1900s
