I wanted to say congratulations for the recognition of "Poet" in the creative writing process contest. The question you posed in your writing; Why do I write- was an insightful look into what motivates and drives you as a writer. I liked your responses and this work very much. Sammiewlf - | ||

Jaime Deagle: I like to write what I feel, but almost always to an extreme. I find when I try to force a form on my work that it comes out stunted and immature, possibly because I'm an immature writer who can't conform. I like to write poetry best because I find I strike gold more often with poetry. Striking gold for me is infrequent but I know that other writers out here have felt it. The perfect words that form the perfect line that express exactly what you want just as you want it. That is an amazing feeling. Its a rush. It would be nice to hit gold every line all the time but it never happens that way for me. When it does happen though, that is the only time I truely feel like what I've written is good. |
