And, I Died
Tara Maxfield: Hello Friends, Please note that my poetry and writing tends to be dark and melancholy. I am not in emotional danger and am actually someone who laughs and enjoys life. My poetry helps me process emotions and situations. Sometimes it even helps me with a solution. So, please don't let it worry you or bring you down. I'm fine and will be writing another one next week for as long as I'm granted the ability to be here. I wouldn't miss it for the world! |

Tara Maxfield: Hello friends, I'm in the US and just joined Fanstory in 2022. I'm so happy I did. I'm working on my first novel, some of which I've posted here. Although I've been writing for 30 years, I'd only shared my work with my husband, who encouraged me to actively pursue it. Seeing that I had challenges as my novel developed I needed a place where I could actively work on areas where I needed to develop. And, I found it. If you read my work, you will find a lot of it to be quite dark. I'm not really dark, but I guess it's how I release dark feelings or concerns. So, don't send a welfare check. I'm just fine. The first poet I fell in love with was Poe and I love reading Stephen King and Koontz, so that probably explains a lot about my style. I'm also a history buff and tend to infuse references from times gone past. You'll also find that a lot of my fictional writing is peppered with real life experiences. I suppose most write this way, but some times the inclusions help me process an experience and understand the purpose of it. I'm always keen to meet more of you. So just reach out. Happy writing!
