Ross E Silke: Happy New Year 🥳 2022!!! It?s a fresh new beginning. 😇❄️❄️❄️☃️⛄️🌨😇🧎📜🕊⛪️🔔🌹📚📚🧣🧑🏻‍🦰

Ross E Silke: Spend summer writing your best. Never stop writing: rework, reword, revise, redo, refinish. We don't all have to be pros right off the bat. It takes years to establish our very best. Put every word to the test. Always put forth your best, 🍪😎👍🏻✌️🏻🌇🌅🌃🌟🇨🇦📝✏️✒️🖊️

Ross E Silke: Remembering my Grandma Marjorie R who passed away in December just before Christmas at age eighty-eight. She always believed in me. Have been grieving ever since. Writing ✍🏻 helps in times of grief. Helps to calm, soothe, and find peace. May she Rest In Peace. I?m happy she is with Jesus now. :0)?no more suffering. She always encouraged me to keep smiling and never worry; taught some valuable lessons that greatly helped me to succeed. God bless our grandmothers. 👵🏻💗💖🌸🐑🌷🌹🥀🌻
Brett Matthew West: Can sympathise especially since I lost my Mother to cancer the day after Christmas 2007. My range of emotions runs the gambit with my birthday the day before Christmas, Christmas, and the day my Mother died all following each other. Writing does help (at least a little) during times like those. I find it cathargic. All I can say is hang in there. -
Ross E Silke: Thank you for your sympathy Brett and in relating. It?s so encouraging! I appreciate your time to respond. :0) Best, -
nor84: I envy those who had grandmothers and grandfathers. I didn't. My paternal grandmother died when my Dad was 3 years old, in the 1880s. My maternal grandmother died when I was about 4. I never met either. As for grandfathers, one died in 1939 without ever knowing I existed. The other died in 1928. And as for mothers, mine died when I was 9. You guys and gals are lucky. -
Ross E Silke: I think my grandma outlived herself. I?ve been very blessed with family and am saddened when I hear from others that didn?t have that. Grandma was Heaven sent she was just unreal lol. It took awhile to grieve and still am. She taught me much about God and her legacy lives on through me. I hope you are blessed with lots of friends around you at least? Family is important. I planted some trees for her. Her obituary can be found searching Marjorie Ranger. -
Bonnie Seach : Hope, comfort and faith help us to endure. John5:28,29 promises a resurrection of those in the graves. Hope for the opportunity of seeing your deceased loved ones again, here on earth. Best wishes -
Ross E Silke: Thanks Bonnie; you?re a great encouragement. God bless. I haven?t seen my parents in about ten years so trying to find a way to make a trip home per say. I got so used to being away needing the break from them. Lol. -

Ross E Silke: Hi everyone I?m back from a long break from writing trying to get back into the swing of things. Looks like I might need another longer break lol. Will keep practicing.:0) hugs to all. Remember God loves you, never stop writing no matter what challenges we might face or dilemmas we might encounter, surely march on. Time will tell

Ross E Silke: Happy ?Mother?s Day week to every Mom. God bless. Stay safe, and use wisdom

Ross E Silke: Spring is the season of renewal and new beginnings. Starting fresh this spring. Focus on health, safety, and the mind; where poetry helps us stay strong in uncertain times. Good for the heart and mind. Stay safe,

Ross E Silke: My book Defeating Powers and Principalities in Your City reached #20 in 15-Minute Religion & Spirituality Short Reads on Amazon: I was so thrilled to find this out and wanted to share. Thanks to everyone for being such a big help in my writing endeavors.
patricia dillon: I have bought your book on Amazon. -
Ross E Silke: Thank you. Be blessed -

Ross E Silke: I have the pleasure of taking Hebrew this spring, very excited. Shalom. Please keep safe and abide by social distancing and respect yourself and others.

Ross E Silke: It's never too late to fulfill your dreams, step by step, bit by bit, we should never give up and keep going no matter what obstacles bring, including a virus. Stay safe this Easter weekend and keep occupied inside. We love our neighbours as ourselves by abiding in distancing this Easter. Cheers!
    samandlancelot: Well said, Ross. -
    Ross E Silke: :0) -
    Drew Delaney: -

Ross E Silke: God bless you this lovely Easter time. :0))
samandlancelot: God bless you, too, Ross. -
Ross E Silke: Thanks so much, Sam :0)) A very happy Easter to you and yours -

Ross E Silke: Let's hope things change for the better come Easter. Here in Canada they are reassessing the opening of closures across the province April 13, right after. Let's pray the virus is under control by then, although it may take over a year for a cure, this could become a new way of life for awhile. Regardless, a very happy Easter and Good Friday weekend! Stay safe and celebrate at home. :0))

Ross E Silke: I just received a large grant in the mail from Tyndale university/seminary to finish in September studying in Bible Studies and English. I'm very excited. They have courses in C.S. Lewis even. I hope the virus is gone by then, lol. :0))
    Jesse James Doty: Congratulations, Ross!
    -
    joycetreasures: Congratulations!!! -
Ross E Silke: Thanks so much! It's seven with three zeros. :0)) I didn't want to say but feel ok to now. I've never been offered anything like that in my academic history. I hope to teach someday. :0)) -

Ross E Silke: Some interesting facts to know about coronavirus:

1. Mild cold-like to fever, coughing, shortness of breath are all clue symptoms
2. Avoid cats, bats as leading carriers wash hands before and after handling pets
3. Don't touch your face, mouth, eye rubbing
4. Wash hands with soap and water frequently for 20 seconds.
5. Don't go out unless you have to
joycetreasures: Thanks for this information. Good stuff.

    Stay bless and safe:-) -
    Ross E Silke: You're welcome. :0) -

Ross E Silke: Stay safe this season and remember the common signs of the virus are flue, coughing, and shortness of Breath. I just published a new book Beat the Bug to help during this pandemic on Amazon. Stay inside if you can and keep about one metre to two metres apart from others for social distancing. I hope to be back soon. :0)

Ross E Silke: Sorry I am away over the Christmas holiday season right now, but rest assured I'll be back soon. I'm still writing and have two new books being published at this time on Amazon you can look for under my first and last name: The True Story of Christmas: The Real Story, and Santa Plans to Retire, a short story book for all ages. God bless you this Christmas! Warm hugs. Also, look for Christmas Eve Sonnets by the Fireplace 1-3 now available on Amazon. :0))

Ross E Silke: I was recently accepted into Tyndale with a scholarship to finish my education. The award was quite unexpected for all the work I've done to date. Very excited; in the English and Bible Studies/Worship and Creative Arts. I hope to fulfill my potential in the coming years in the field of arts, writing, teaching, and education. Have a very merry, beautiful Christmas!
WryWriter: I wish you much success!! -
Ross E Silke: Thank you! I'm very excited. :0)) It's hard to find a good institution that's founded on the Word to study at as previous institutions I have attended are not making it difficult to be successful in. -

Ross E Silke: I'm taking some time off FanStory at this time; thank you for all your support and helping me to become a better writer! I hope to be back soon. Enjoy the new season of Fall--here in Ontario, Canada. I appreciate all my FanStory fans and hope to be in touch again soon. Please look for my book publications on Amazon under my first and last name. Blessings,
moonsunrise: Will certainly do Ross. -
Ross E Silke: Thank you so much! I'm so enthused about writing this season as I return briefly. I have also lowered my prices on Amazon for the winter/Christmas season. :0)) All best, -

Ross E Silke: I'm happy to announce that I completed a Certificate in Academic Writing at Queen's University in Canada where I have been attending. I took courses in Effective Writing, Creative Writing, Modular Writing, and Literary Non-Fiction to obtain this. I'm concluding my time at the university now after many years and leave with this to help with my writing endeavours. I felt to share.
rosehill (Wendy): Congrats, now get to it! ;) -
Ross E Silke: Thanks, rosehill. Yes, lol, time to get moving with it. :0)) -
WryWriter: Congratulations! Do toss us some morsels of your newly found knowledge! -
    Ms. Snyder: Wow! Mr. Silke,
That is fantastic!!! Congratulations!!! I knew when I started to read your writing there was academia there, lots of talent and a special perspective that I truly enjoy... -
Ross E Silke: Thanks, Ms. Snyder, you are very encouraging! I've always loved school since the start in Kindergarten and never gave up toward education--you can't put a price on it. :0)) I hope I can teach someday, lol--I enjoy being in school too much, and it's like another school on here. :0)) The more diplomas the better, LOL!! --just as long as it doesn't get too crazy. :0)) -
juliaSjames: Congratulations on your achievement. -
Ross E Silke: Thank you, Julia. :0)) It's been many years but I think I found my niche. Best always, -

Ross E Silke: Summer is a time to celebrate in the sun and rhyme up some summer salad poetry. :0)) I'm sure in a month we will want the summer to go away and embrace Fall and Winter again; until then, write in the sun! Best,

Ross E Silke: Am I allowed to announce this? I'm so excited that I made my first ever book sales this week after publishing on Amazon.--I didn't think they would really sell so it's very encouraging. I much enjoy the writing process and will keep working toward bettering myself and my writing as I find it opens up a whole new world apart from the natural world we so often get consumed in. Thanks for all your help.
LG Wolfe: Not only should you be announcing it, you should be yelling it from the rooftops and dancing from the chandeliers! What an amazing moment. Congratulations Ross! -
Ross E Silke: Thanks, LG for your wonderful encouragement! I am very very excited and will definitely take time to celebrate. :0))) -
Angela Hayes: Would be nice to know the name of your book, could be an interesting read, since I'am working on my book of poems :) -

Sally Law: Congratulations, Ross. A fine accomplishment in one so young, too. Be blessed! Sally Law :+)) -
Ross E Silke: Thanks so much Sally!! :0)) You've been a big encouragement. -

Ross E Silke: Poetry is a great way to heal in writing from the heart, and then it is contagious when we share it to help others. When we're facing life challenges and circumstances, poems can help overcome them and conquer our mountains. In a way, it is like a weapon that fights to heal our soul and gives us more control over life's ordeals.
LG Wolfe: Very well said Ross. I completely agree. -
mrsmajor: From my own life experiences, and my poetry, I most certainly do agree with you.. -
Ms. Snyder: Well Mr. Silke that in itself was poetry... a nice free verse! -

Ross E Silke: "God bless us, everyone!"--Charles Dickens, 'Tiny Tim', in "A Christmas Carol." :0))
WryWriter: He does, though some may not notice they are alive and can always turn to Him. God loves us, everyone! ; ) -

Ross E Silke: Happy Easter! Find time to celebrate with family, friends, and loved ones this precious season, and take time to remember its true meaning at the cross of Calvary. Spend time thanking God for every good thing and praying in the new season with your hearts desires, hopes, and dreams. Best to all and to yours as well,

Ross E Silke: Happy Palm Sunday, April 14. Today we celebrate, the weekend before Easter. :0))
Irish Rain: Happy palm Sunday Mr. Ross, blessings to you! -

Ross E Silke: Happy Resurrection Holiday season (Easter) to everyone!! I don't think it's too early to post a special greeting! May you, your family, friends, and loved ones be blessed as we celebrate this season. Don't forget to put chocolate (preferably those in the shape of rabbits) on your list too, and try to get out to a Sunday service to remember why we celebrate. :0)) Best,
Jannypan (Jan) : Thank you for sharing your AWESOME message! -
Ross E Silke: Thanks, Jan! Happy Resurrection Holiday season to you and your family! God bless! -

Ross E Silke: Writing is a way to heal the mind and soul; we write to help ourselves then we want to display it for others to read, thus passing on the torch. But we should always write with others in mind too so they can best understand us, after all the writer has the most information, but often times we forget that the reader may not know. Author notes are handy for that as well. :0))

Ross E Silke: Happy spring!! March 20 marked spring equinox! It is a new season of newness!! Happy resurrection holiday season as well, approaching in less than a month! It's a great time to write about these seasons too!
Colin John: Yes and to you Ross Spring is truely a wondrous time. Well done our sun. -
Ms. Snyder: Happy Spring Mr. Silke!!! You inspired me! -
Ross E Silke: Thank you! I'm honoured, Ms. Snyder! You can call me Ross, lol. -
Ross E Silke: Thank you, Poet monster. Spring is a new season of joy for all of us. :0)) It's fun writing about the season as there's so much to explore. -

Ross E Silke: I find writing poetry is a great way to battle through life's harder days and to even gain some authority over life's cares by writing about them. It doesn't have to be perfect but writing gets the emotions on paper and clears the mind and heart. It gives us courage to face life, our poems.

I really appreciate the community here and learning from others. So far I have seventy-five books available on Amazon under my first and last name listed below: amazon.com/author/rosssilke (profile). I enjoy nature, walking, music, singing, puzzles, art, Hebrew, and my Alienware laptop with very advanced computer graphics and games.--my favourite is Sims 3.
