Rickie1: Again, I wrote what I felt. The readers can decide how good it is. I just had to write something.


Rickie1: The last poem I wrote just happened when I sat down and wrote the first thing I had in my head (my feet hurt) and ran with it. It's better to write something than nothing and wishing you had. :-)


Rickie1: I think about a lot of things. Most of which don't seem to connect to people. I'm a different thinker and that set me apart. puts distance between me and the world. Do I have a greater vision? I don't know. am I smarter than most? I don't know. Well, I think I do. Time will tell. Some roads are well traveled and some are not. Traveling done distant and different roads is valuable to my understanding the world and all it people.


Rickie1: I'm seeing this place more and more as a gathering of kindred spirits that share their spirit.
    DR DIP: well that is a good thing right?
    The FanStory 'family' is wide and varied each with a diversity of attitude, opinion, and beliefs and standpoints that to me is a very healthy vibe.
    We all come here because we share qa common passion to write be it poetry or short stories or scripts. We all tend to gravitate to those on here that share the same styles and interests in writing which is not a bad thing as long as we still have a very open mind on things so diverse to what you are used to.

Rickie1: I got my first 4 poems in for 2019. Now I'll see how I'll rank for a full 12 months.

    Rickie1: Well my plan right now is do a few reviews a day of the stuff that catches my eye. Enter one contest a month. Work on my 10,000 goal. Post a poem 2-3 times a week or as the spirit moves me and make some friendly connections. There is more going on here than posting a few poems. I find the company of my betters stimulating. I enjoy the interaction between authors and the ideas floating around. Maybe a little philosophy as well. The ranking is a curiosity. There are so many that put more time in then I do. I'll never catch up but I'm OK with that as long as I'm having fun. -


Rickie1: All time best again! I am thrilled. Thank you all for your reviews , support and constructive comments. 55 reviews! I've never had so many. Most of my reviews, if not all so far, came from far better authors, I am honored. For I'm just a hack newbie poet. Thank you all again. It's taking some time to thank all my reviewers but I will thank each one of you personally eventually.

    These contests are opportunities to try new stuff and learn. I have four books on poetry (who would have thought) at home now. I am enjoying the journey. -
