jmcasteel: So I've had this stuck in my head all day... and I feel the need to share it (maybe it'll unstick itself if I do...)

jmcasteel: So far, today has been a semi-lazy kind of day. Catching up here on FanStory and contests and reviews... Thinking I may either read later or start a series marathon of some sort. Just feels like one of those saturdays -- hope everyone enjoys their day!!!!

jmcasteel: So I've been reading and reviewing lots and lots of beautiful pieces today and there were a few that really stood out: Kept making me think of one of my all time favorite poems written by Derek Welsh. "The Kingdom of the Damned"
Just feel the need to share it here....

'Kingdom of the Damned'

Sweet goddess of the underworld
Fearful of the light
Steals the screaming children
Swiftly in the night
Inflicts her lacerations

In the houses of the holy

The meek who build her castle

But over the last several years, I have been wanting to put together a book of poems....sharing my journey through this life thus far... I hope to find guidance, and maybe a few friends along the way.
