lappmellott: I am so happy that some time ago, I found FanStory. I have been writing for many years now, but I never tried writing poetry. I'm so glad I gave it a try and the comments I am receiving in reviews, is so very encouraging to me. So, to all of you who have read any of my poetry, I huge "thank you". |

lappmellott: In the past eight years, I've learned a very important lesson. I learned that no matter what crosses we may have to carry, God will always be there helping us. I also learned that every single day of our life is a learning process. We never stop learning new things. Isn't that simply great? I think so. |

lappmellott: I can't tell all of you how happy your reception of my first attempt at a poem has made me. Even though I've been writing for many, many years now, I simply never tried writng poetry. I've always loved it though. It will be posted in my current writing project, which is the story of my life. By all rights, I should have died back in 2006, but I believe God wasn't done with me here on this earth quite yet. Thank goodness. I will say that most all my writing comes from the heart, which innocendently, is quite ill. I write with all the emotion God has given to me. Thanks for check out my chapters from my original memoirs, my other short stories, and now my poem. Thanks so much to all of you who have given my so many kind words. |

lappmellott: I am currently working on a novel called "White to Black: With Many Shades In Between." It's the story of my life. I've had many joys and sorrows during my life. I'm not complaining because everything that I've lived through has made me the person I am today. How about you? |

lappmellott: How's everyone doing? I haven't been on FanStory for quite some time, basically because I've been working on a fiction novel. It was the third in a series and it's now complete and has been published. It is available for electronic reading on Amazon. com. The first in the series is "Sassy" With a Capital "S", the second is "Crafty-Cruise" With a Capital "C", and the third one is "Train-Trekking" With a Capital "T". Any one of them can be read on its own. I truly enjoyed writing all three of these fiction novels, but I must say that the third one was so much fun. I inserted quite a bit of paranormal activity into it. Since I've always had an interest in spiritual occurances. I so enjoyed writing this novel. My health has, for the most part, been good in the last year. Currently, I am fighting an infection, but hopefully am on my way to getting better. I am currently working on a short, non-fiction booklet on ethical wills. My goal for completion on this piece is the end of March. |

lappmellott: My name is Susan Lapp-Mellott and I am sixty-four years old. God has blessed me with so many wonderful creative abilities. I am a published author of six books. I became ill in 2006 and although it's taken it's toll on me, I still try to find the energy to write and create hand-made greeting cards, draw and paint. I especailly enjoy writing non-fiction because it allows me to write from the heart; while fiction lets me write from my imagination. Since being diagnosed with Chronic Congestive Heart Failure and a few other cardiovascular diseases in 2006, I lead a very sedentary lifestyle. I'm not complaining though, I've embraced my illnesss and the only way I can give back to God for all the blessings He's given me, is to do something creative. So, that's what I do! |
