wordsfromsue: Can I tell you, it's 7:10 pm, I made a pot of coffee and have the evening symphony on the radio. The shade is open so that I can look out the window at the woods behind my home. And the cat sitting on my windowsill giving herself and that ponderous belly a bath. Could've went to the grave without THAT sight! Nah, not really. I'll miss it when Miss Diva Mavis is gone.

Thank you all who have posted to me down below. I'll answer you each. It just feels so nice to have friends writing back and to not have to put on my happy face.
The happy face will be back. It's just not back today.
I didn't even tell you the thing that sort of set me over the edge yesterday.

Someone committed suicide yesterday by hanging themselves from a basketball rim in the park behind the building where I work. Thankfully, I didn't see it. They were talking about his body dangling and it was at the time kids were walking by to go to school when he was discovered.

Something about knowing death had been that close to me physically just rattled me. And wondering how he got up there to do it. He must've climbed the pole. How very tragic to want to die that badly and publicly. But it just cast a pall over the rest of the day and I've passed that spot three or four times and my heart goes out to the poor soul.

I'm going to schedule a few days off next week. Just me time. If I do my favorites, if I can scratch the money together, I'll go to the zoo and spend the day with the animals and maybe go to a movie. Those are my two favorite Sue things.

Haven't hung out with the animals in years. Once, I sat by the gorillas so long, one started mimicing me. It was a quiet week day and it took me a bit of time to realize it was doing what I was doing. Scratch my head, whatever little physical thing I was doing. Truly a memorable, sweet event!

wordsfromsue: Thank you to you who have posted on my page. I appreciate it. I wish I could say I'm doing great, but I'm not. The stress and circumstances in my life have built up to unmanageable amounts. I'm crashing and trying to figure out how to proceed.
I bawled my eyes out earlier here at work. Thank goodness no one else was in the room. But I know my eyes were still red when I interacted with a few people.
Right now I'm telling you guys because I really don't have anyone else to tell.

    Sarkems: So sorry. Been there myself. If you are crashing, you have to take a break. Your brain won't be able to focus because it is overloaded. I know most people have negative views about medication, but sometimes it is the only way to give your brain the rest it needs. -
    wordsfromsue: Emsey, I do take medication for depression/anxiety. The last few weeks have been an unusually high amount of b.s., just more than I can process. But things just aren't functioning correctly. I do need a break. it's been at least 12 years since I've had a vacation. Think I need one, even if it's stay at home. No money to do anything at the moment.

I hope you know that people with depression are very often super sensitive souls. They hurt for themselves and others. Sometimes I wonder if I'm a 'real' writer, as I don't seem to have the same hopes and aspirations that a lot of people on this site have. Maybe I'm a writer in a different category. Who knows?

Being newly retired, married for 35 years and having a son, 3 cats & 1 dog should give me plenty of material.

I'm a major fan of coffee, (the profile picture is my all time favorite for describing how I feel after that first cup in the morning!) seeing the blessings in circumstances and trying to extend God's grace to whoever I encounter.
