thebluestar: I would like to say "hello," to all my FanStory friends. It is a long time since I spoke with any of you. I hope that life has been treating you all well, and that you are still writing. I have had two children's books published since we last spoke, so I have been very busy. I am now also nanny to two perfect little boys, who are my inspiration in life.

thebluestar: I would like to say to all my FanStory buddies, Happy New Year, may 2013 bring you closer to your dreams.
Maureen's Pen: Hey Nett so great to have you back:) Happy New Year love! xx -
thebluestar: Thank you so much Maureen, life has been very dull without my FS buddies. I hope that life is treating you well at the moment. xx -
inlow5: How are you Miss Net? things are ok on this side of the pond. Just drinking coffee and whishing I had something to write about lol.
    -

thebluestar: Oh my, love the new colour scheme, found it hard to find the sign out button thou lol. Gosh it is so hard to believe that we are over the first week in July, this year is flying by.

thebluestar: My goodness, what stunning poetry I have returned to reading my friends. I have been off site for a few weeks now, and am happy to be back again. I will catch up with all your writing soon. Thank you to those of you who contacted me privately. I is so encouraging to have friends who care. Much love guys. xx

thebluestar: I would just like to say "sorry" to all my FS friends for not commentating and supporting you at the moment. My attention is elsewhere for the moment, but I will catch up. Take care, all of you. Nette x

thebluestar: Welcome to my little library. Pull up a chair, let's chat over a cup of freshly brewed coffee.I look forward to sharing your company.
Laurie Clayton: Hello and welcome to the site, Happy writing! -
    Bicpen: If it`s coffee you want...you`ll have to pay...as I`m skint...! -
thebluestar: Laurie and Bicpen, thank you for joining me. It is great to be able to make friends. The coffee pot is always on and I will even bake a cake. So Bicpen no worries. All you have to do is arrive and chat.
I have a slow head today, a touch of writers block. So this old muddle head may have to try to string something together later lol
Hope to chat soon. I am off to review for a few ideas! -
thebluestar: Oh dear, no one willing to share today? That's OK, I wish you all a brilliant Halloween weekend. -
cherylmelwoods: Welcome to the site Net! Hope you find a four-leaf clover amongst the weeds! Cheryl :-) -
manicblue: Welcome, 'blue' (we already have two things in common - the color blue and a love of writing!) I just saw your note in my little 'zen den' and just wanted to stop by and say hello. I'll stop by for a spot of tea soon. Happy writing!
    mb xx -
thebluestar: Good morning ladies, you are very welcome to my little library. Freshly brewed coffee and tea with scones and butter, strawberry jam, home-made of course and fresh cream are on the menu today. Pull up a chair.

I am trying to master the art of poetry, but since joining this site I have realised it is more than just writing a few rhyming lines. The terminology is very foreign to me. Could anyone please help? -
thebluestar: Come on girls, please someone give me a few tips for my poetry writing. Please Net xx -
Carolyn 12: write from your heart and a poem will come. What kinda cake do we have today? I got my cup of hot apple cider. -
Carolyn 12: Write the next line following mine. Let it rhyme with the end word more.
(I am what I am and nothing more) -
thebluestar: you are what I see, I am in awe

Hey this is fun hunnie -
Carolyn 12: I am what I am and nothing more
You are what I see, I am in awe
Standing before me your aura shines -
thebluestar: your love and wisdom, so divine -
Carolyn 12: Lovings hands I gather to my heart -
thebluestar: engaging feelings to the world, impart -
thebluestar: For when I am with you all that I can see -
Carolyn 12: I am what I am and nothing more
You are what I see, I am in awe
Standing before me, your aura shines
your love and wisdom, so divine
Loving hands I gather to my heart
engaging feelings to the world, impart
For when I am with you all, I can see
Are numbered days laid before me
White light glows amongst flowers laid

Tiny steps we waltz in the glade
You hold me, willing my life to stay
    Movement takes me further away
As my life slips in your heart I remain.
I went ahead and finished this but you can see you know how to be a poet. ;^) -
thebluestar: thank you so much hunnie, that exercise has been a great help. I have been away for a couple of days due to a minot accident. My big beautiful but stupid horse knocked me over and stood on my right hand and both legs. No broken bones, just bruising lol I would love to do something like this again when you have the time. xx -
thebluestar: It is getting very lonely and cold in my library today. Coffee and chocolate cake anyone? x -
cherylmelwoods: Hey Net,I make a mean apricot cheese-cake...luv and hugs xx -
thebluestar: Mel bring it along, we can swap recipes. Apricot cheesecake mmmm lol -

thebluestar: Hey Cheryl, how goes it. We have a sunny day in Ireland today. Cold but nice all the same. I am so behind with my writing at the moment but will catch up soon. Rain mmmm, how about hot chocolate with marshmallows and a huge slice of chocolate chilli cake to warm up the soul? Net xx -
cherylmelwoods: What is Chocolate Chille cake??? Certainly would warm you up heehee. Yes I havent written anything except my ROSE GARDEN poem but don't know when I'll get around to writing another due to life's circumstances!! Xx00 hugs -
thebluestar: Chocolate Chilli Cake is a chocolate fudge cake with a little hint of chilli. Try it they really go well together. yummy. Hope to catch up with you very soon. Take care, love Net
    xx -
Carolyn 12: Morning-I am ready for some coffee. When ever you would like to try some more lines. Instead of poem-why not do a short story. Lets say 3000-7000 word minimum.
You would do a short chapter and then I would. We could do a list of topics and then stick with that topic. Let me know.
(I think it would be fun to list a dual story)
    LIST
    1. Ocean shore in the fall-an older couple find each other and romance blooms when everything else dies off for the winter.
    2.

    -
Carolyn 12: Rude of me- I just saw your note about your horse stepping on you-lucky girl, glad you're ok.
Horse-must take lessons on working with humans-class at 11am. -
thebluestar: Morning Carolyn, hunnie, what a great idea. Ok lets give it a go, but not until the end of the month for me. I am so busy with another challenge at the moment. 60,000 in a month. Done 9,000 so far lol.

    -
Carolyn 12: We'll forgo the first list suggestion and when you are ready let me know. -
cherylmelwoods: Hi Net! How is the weather and what season are you in? It's hotting up here on the sunny Gold Coast and I'm not looking forward to our hottest months January and February!! Xxx -
thebluestar: Hi Cheryl, it is well and truly winter here. The days are short and the cold is icy. Yet winter brings along its own beauty to the land. Cobwebbed hedges and frosty landscapes along with the sun just rising through the mist. It isn't everyone's favourite time of year and yet I love it. The next season is Spring which will start early March and bring with it the abundance of bloom lol How are you hunnie? -
findingmyroom: Good morning. I just wanted to say that you selected an awesome profile photo. Love the jacket and hat! -
thebluestar: Thank you so much, I have never been complimented on my photo before. x -

thebluestar: Mel, I would love to fill all your comments for you. You are such a treasure, and a great friend. Where would I be without my daily smiles? xx -
cherylmelwoods: Hey Net? Was just about to read your new post with a freshly brewed cuppa and it vanished. I only have my iphone for communication and it is very slow and the communications bar didn't come up on your profile page so I couldn't send a private message, that's why I'm writing here sweety. Hope all is well and I will try to get to your longer stories in time. I think that is sooo wonderful you have books in print!! You are a great professional writer!! Luv and hugs,Cheryl xxx -
thebluestar: Hi baby, I decided to delete that particular post. It was a very sensual write and I got a couple of eye opening replies, so chickened out of leaving it for more. Hope you are OK my friend. Coffee sounds great, muffins too, maybe? Much love, Net:) xxx -
ABOUT

I started to write in March 2010 after a scare with cancer, and recovering from major surgery. As a child, often lonely and confined in an adult world, writing was the only thing that helped me to live like a child. Caring for my mom, who was suffering from a very debilitating fight with cancer, at times made me a very private little girl, wanting to be alone. Yet, crying for attentions and a kind word.

It wasn't until I decided to write my memoirs, that I truly allowed my thoughts to run free and not hide in the shadows.

More recently, I have been associated with writing controversial topics, which other writers do not approach. I write from the heart, truthfully and sensually, as I know how to. I am just an ordinary woman, living her life in a stunning location, wanting to make her family proud.

I hope you will enjoy reading about times in my life, and I would truly like to hear from anyone who cares to get in touch.

Annette
