tjames: My novel Deception of Innocence was published in May. I self-published it and I have to say it has done somewhat better than I expected. If anyone gets a chance, go to www.amazon.com and read a few random pages and tell me what you think. I would really appreciate the feedback. |

It cost me nothing, of course you do have to promote it yourself, which is a task in itself. When you go on, you have steps to follow and you work with templates - they give you one in PDF that you download your manuscript on. This was tricky, a little, because my manuscript was on Word and the margins had to be condensed to fit the book-sized PDF, but they do explain well. (I'm just not good at changing margins on Word), but I figured it out, it took me about three days then they check to make sure it's a good fit and once they okay it you can use their choice of covers or download your own. This company makes books to order, that way you don't have to pay them to have a lot of books sitting around. They give you your ISBN number which was great. I don't think I'm explaining real well and it isn't as complicated as I think I'm making it sound. Try the site and if you are good at promoting on your own, you'll do well. I used Facebook and got a lot of sales that way and now I put it on Fanstory and I think I'm going to look for other sites like these. If you know of any could you let me know them? You can also notify your local newspaper. If you live in a large area this may be good for you. I don't, I live in a small area so I didn't take that route, but I might still do that. Let me know how you make out. - | ||
