I have missed all of you.

Edie

Child of the King: Hi everyone .>] Be back soon Peace

Child of the King: Hi everyone

I have missed all of you. :-( Got a part-time job that has kept me busy and my Brother's second brain tumor has come back. We are all dealing with this shocking news and I am happy to say that I am able to be here for my Brother and take him to appts. etc.
God is good and my Brother loves him so much. We are praying for another healing miracle.
The Relay for Cancer is coming up soon and my Brother is head of our team Cancer B Gone.
Love to all of you. My inbox is full and I will start catching up soon.

In His Love and Peace

Barb Hensongispsaca: easy...I confuse easy...easy. No, wait, I said that. Oh, and I thought something else was the first to go. Not sure what that was either. Oh now you did it...I'm confused -

Child of the King: I am so despondent and sad that two people would give up knowing me because I have a friend they do not like. Jesus wants us to love one another as he loves us. I do not discriminate and I am so sorry these two "happy" people are no longer "happy" with me.
adewpearl: that sounds like junior high when one girl would send another a note saying she would dump her as a friend if she talked to a third girl. How immature and sad. -
Child of the King: Yes, that is what I think too my friend. :-( -
Indie Skreet: sorry honey, they don't even know me. I put a poem up with a warning that for some reason didn't come up and Mrs took offence even though I apologised and righted it. Today Mr came in and one starred me on a six starred poem because he didn't like the content which was apparent from the title. It feels like playground bullying, but I am distancing myself. Sorry for the trouble. xx -
Child of the King: yes, I read that in your reviews of the poem my friend. I am surprised they did not stop reading once they saw the title. I do that quite often for Erotica writes as I am just not comfortable plus I am single--:-) It just shocked me that they immediately left my page. -

Child of the King: Am pretty sad today as I unknowingly broke a rule in a contest I entered. The reviews were coming in and I got the announcement from FS that my complimentary viewing was up and to promote my poem, so I did. OOPS! That was not allowed. I am now disqualified--:-(
redrider6612: What makes you think you're disqualified? -
Child of the King: The person sponsoring the contest gave me a 3 in her review and said I broke the rules as I was not supposed to promote my poem. I forgot that but it was a blind entry how could promoting it hurt anything? Anyway she told Tom and they are removing my work. Thanks for asking my friend. -
poesyapprentice: They didn't remove it and it is in the lead with two votes! I'm betting Gypsy is fit to be tied. Although you are right and promoting it won't hurt anything in a blind contest, I think she did the fair thing in expecting the rules she set out to be followed by all those who chose to enter. I'm just sorry it made you feel sad, sweetie. There is a lesson here though as all things happen for a purpose. Find your silver lining, honey. Hugs! -
Joy Graham: I have seen lots of blind contest entries promoted on the front page. -
Joy Graham: Ah, okay, i see. It was in the rules. -
redrider6612: What kind of silly rule is that? I would never enter a contest with a rule that you can't promote the entry. -
Sally Carter: Two upset people and apparently two parallel posts going on here. I hope peace can be made. -
Child of the King: Thank you my friends. Yes, Sally, I am working on the "peace" as that is always my signature on the reviews I do. :-) -
Gypsy Starchild: You are a wonderful writer, and you've handled yourself gracefully and diplomatically throughout all of this... Please continue writing, I sincerely enjoy your reading your work. My choice is in no way because of you, or anything you have said or done throughout all of this, and I am sorry that I have caused you so much grief...
The fault is mine... I did not understand until I had been here a for a while that this is really more of a forum for showcasing writing and not work-shopping writing. There have been several incidents in the last week or two that had inspired me to create the No Art/No Promotion prompts in an effort to provide a forum for those who like me wanted to workshop their writing, and a fair, friendly & sportsmanlike competition at the same time. The angry unsportsmanlike response that I have gotten from some others (not you) has been very discouraging, and it was discouragement that had led me to create the prompts in the first place.
The fact that I have discouraged a writer who is by far better than I in that effort does factor into my decision, but it is not the only factor by far. -
Child of the King: Thank you my friends. Yes, Sally, I am working on the "peace" as that is always my signature on the reviews I do. :-) -
Child of the King: Thank you Gypsy Starchild and I am so sorry it went this far. I do so appreciate your recognizing how I felt and trying your best to make it right. Thank you so much for the extra points. Peace -

I was gifted the love of writing from my Jesus and my Mother. My Mother wrote some great poetry but raising 8 children kept her too busy to give her life over to it.

I have enjoyed writing since High School and in past years I shared some of my writes with friends on MySpace.
I am here to have my writing critiqued and to meet fellow writers. My plans for 2013 are to finally sit down and post some of my poetry in here. Then I will take the second step and learn how to publish my works.

I am not going to say too much about myself other than I am the Mother of three, the Grandmother of five, and soon to be a Great Grandmother in February of this year 2013.

I just lost my Husband of eight years to Alzheimers. Six of them were spent in nursing homes. I have written many heart-wrenching poems about his journey and my hopes are to put them into a small book to sell with all the profits going to research for a cure to Alzheimers. I want to touch others who are fighting the battle and let them know that they are not alone.
