DBastian: Another beautiful day! I wish I could show you ...
    K.W.: In full agreement!! -

DBastian: There is always a reason to be thankful.
DIS-illusioned: Yes?? ... Still waiting for one. :-p
    LOLz! :) -
DBastian: Maybe you need a fresh, unbiased perspective :) -

DBastian: The sun is shining in my eyes, on my shoulder, and everywhere. Amazed at how a little sunshine makes up for a bleak winter :)
Debra White: Enjoy it :) We have grey skies and drizzle here. And it's freeeeezing! -
DBastian: I did ... drizzled here last night, but i see the sun peeking through again ... -

DBastian: Sometimes I wish I were a story, on course for an exquisite or tantalizing outcome. Maybe I am ...
shelley kaye: we all are. and only the god and goddess know how it will end and what happens next....

    -
DBastian: Oh, to see us through their eyes! -

DBastian: Another day, another opportunity ...
William Walz: Reminds me of the special ed teacher who used to say...another day, another dullard. -
    DBastian: That's good! -

DBastian: The adventure starts right now (any adventure)
    RominaItalia: I'm up for it! :D -

DBastian: A couple thoughts for today:

1) When anyone writes a poem and does not feel naked afterwards, then it is probably not their best.

2) As we do not expect the unexpected, life becomes quite an adventure

3) I should have expected my Lab would find a way to smell like a deer; an adventure for both of us!
Bellydanser: I really like your number 1. :) Sorry to hear about the deer smell adventure. Fodder for the writing. -
DBastian: thanks ... I like that one, too :) -
    RominaItalia: #1 perfectly stated :) -

DBastian: If you want to teach, you must first understand

DBastian: Yawwnnn ... time to walk the girls. Into the ice storm.
K.W.: blech blech blech. not the girls...cold! -
    DBastian: -

DBastian: Energy drinks are pretty cool. Drink one before going to sleep at night, and you wake up very energized ... an hour later
RominaItalia: Wow...you actually get an hour? I don't see that hour for at least 24. -
DBastian: Hmmm ... what's your secret? My girls let me sleep a little longer last night. The warmth of the dark one's body feels nice at first - on this winter night ... but eventually I am sweating :) -

DBastian: If we don't do it, God can't use it ...

DBastian: Here is what my girls asked me, today (on our walk). They are quite intelligent Labs, by the way:

What happens when we discover we are not what we thought we wanted to be, yet we are where we thought we should be?

They and me had quite different answers :)

Have a great day
    K.W.: Do tell:) -
DBastian: hmmmmm ... probably later -
K.W.: I'm just curious whose answer was more enlightened:) -
9999pool: The question to get the answer is the 'what thought' and 'where'.
It had to do with a dog's place (for the dogs to relate to)- probably the vet.
Nobody wants to be sick, right?
They have to go to the vet which is where they should be.
Dave said this is the right place.
The dogs whined and said "Oh no! Again?"
Dogs have sixth sense and their eyes will tell the owner what they are thinking especially when it is in the vet's clinic.
This guess will be quite close to the answer. -
    DBastian: Good answer Ritchie!
    -
DBastian: My girls are always more enlightening ... -
DBastian: They actually thought they should be human. The other day they discovered they were really deer - and they were right where they wanted to be: In the midst of a bunch of deer poop which they promptly rolled in and soon, sure enough, they smelled like deer. -
DBastian: So, I guess you can still pretend to be what you want to be as long as you are where you think you should be. -
DBastian: As I hear one of them drinking out of the toilet, I might be wrong about their intelligence ... -
9999pool: This sure is a funny story. You should write this 'hoot' story and let all of us have a good laugh. haha. My hoot "Listen, listen, listen" is creating a hooting community now, cross my heart. LOL. -
RominaItalia: If we take this seriously, then the question becomes how did you get to the where and can you face yourself in knowing who you were in doing so....but who the heck wants to be serious right now, when you've got a funny hooting story and two cute labs. :D -
DBastian: Yeah, you're right - so much material!
Hmmm Rominaltalia ... that little serious streak of yours ... I think you have a very good point there! -
K.W.: did you roll in the deer poop too? ;) -
DBastian: unintentionally ... someone had to wash them off. So, yeah, I was a deer for a while, too. In that case, I was not what I thought I wanted to be ... -

DBastian: I'd like to share some warmth with someone ... it is cold over here!
DIS-illusioned: Hmm!...Sounds more like a ploy to get us to share 'our' warmth with you, who is cold over there. :)) -
RominaItalia: I've got cold beat...24 inches of snow awaiting and counting. Fun. -
K.W.: who said "winter kills". so apt. I'm ready for spring!!! -

DBastian: Early morning reviews, waking up, pleas xcuse the speling erors
Julia.: COFFEE!!!! (I heartily recommend it). :) -
    William Walz: No problum. -

DBastian: Sleepless in Ohio
shelley kaye: is this your dating profile? ;-)

    -
DIS-illusioned: Move ... and buy some Nyquil.
    :) -
DBastian: I guess so ... I heard there is something called zzzquil - I think I will try it :) -

DBastian: I have three dogs in this big house. Why are all three of them within three feet of me? (it is 6am and I have not fallen asleep yet)
redrider6612: They are wondering when you're going to go to sleep so they can get on with wrecking the house? -
Grammies: Could be a good case of hallucination! -
DBastian: Yeah, it's probably all a dream -
Patti R.: Is there a milk bone in your pocket? LOL -

DBastian: Did this weekend go by too fast, or what?
Wait ... there's still one more day! Yea!

DBastian: One thing remains:
Your love never fails, never gives up, never runs out on me ...
(Passion Band)

DBastian: Weekends go by too fast. I realize that is good and bad, fortunate and unfortunate, enjoyable and embracing :)
    Lady & Louis: Very true! :) -
    DIS-illusioned: "enjoyable and embracing"
Unlike your other citings, these two are not antonyms to each other, but closer to being synonyms.
    But that's beside the point--I know. :) -
    DBastian: On purpose (past/future)

    Great times:) they ended:(
There will be more! patience ...
Past memories - Future dreams -
    -
Patti R.: Well here comes another one, so brace yourself!
    -
DBastian: BRACED AND READY!!! A little bit longer ... which is GREAT!!! Biking, all the way ... -
Patti R.: And where might ya be headed? -

DBastian: It has been an enjoyable week. Like God has changed the light bulb from 10W to 20W, shedding a bit more light on subjects. Britt Nicoles song continues to reverb in my mind: "Seeing for the First Time"
"I lay here under the stars in awe of who You are
You've never been so real
I'll never understand it fully
Lost here in Your beauty
No words could say how I feel

It's like I'm seeing for the first time
Like You opened my eyes to show me
Everything I've missed before
And I want more"
Lady & Louis: I like the image of God changing the lightbulb! :) -
Sarkems: Well, someone has to. What's he meant to do, sit it the dark? -
Pugs: Oh, you've got a bulb? All I got was a candle, and now I've lost my matches LOL...Heaven let your light shine down... -
Sarkems: "There's husbandry in heaven tonight. Their candles are all out" - Top marks to the first one who can tell me what play that is from. -
    DIS-illusioned: Macbeth, Act 2, Scene 1! ... (Thank you, Google) LOL :)
Care to share the source of your illuminating joy, DBas? :) -
DBastian: Life is my illuminating joy - hope that didn't keep you in suspense these past four days :)

It was illuminated, and then I found joy ...

I'm keeping the wattage low in anticipation for some flood lights, eventually! -

DBastian: I think that I am in love ...
Nhala: who feels it, knows it
    go for it bro -
William Walz: The matter may still be in question if you have to think about it. -
DBastian: Well, it is complicated - an accumulation of many years and many experiences. So, I am not quite sure what this feeling is, yet - but working on it! -
DIS-illusioned: And the ground now begins to quake beneath you, DBas. God help you--sorry! LOL :)) -
DBastian: You all are making me quake -

DBastian: I am ready for a cup of coffee
    DIS-illusioned: Morning, Joe. :) -
    DBastian: -

DBastian: Feels like a great, poetic day.
Funny, I can't think of anything to say.
So, I'll just be on my way.

For now...

kiwigirl2821: Funny when that happens to me
like a fence that jumps up
Just so I couldn't see me
But before I drink that one last cup
I go to my friends to see what's up!

It's crazy when the mind breaks down and says, take it to the river ... I'm done! lol Hate writer's block don't you? Don't worry it will be in the middle of the night when you bolt up in bed, oh damn wish I had my pen and roll out of bed to find one...tc xoxo -
DBastian: Yeah, that pretty much sums it up! My thoughts usually come as I drive to work. I'll jot them down or record them, but work sort of depletes the mood. -
Nhala: u have it. the IT go with it, dont question it, i know you wont, nor do you need to hear that, I am just a fan of real poets -

DBastian: I am back (does anyone care?)
DIS-illusioned: ...Jury's still out on that.
    Welcome back, DBas! :) -
Maureen's Pen: Of course we do...:)

LOL DIS - nice one you nut:)
    -
kiwigirl2821: Well I'm having fun with it ... lol -
    DBastian: You're all fun(ny)! -

DBastian: Ready for a weekend of Family and Friends (outside fanstory) - should have lots of thoughts, by the end!
DIS-illusioned: There is no 'real' world outside of FS. It's all a fantasy-illusion out there ... Matrix IV--FanStory Zion
    :) -
DBastian: Yep Still, i need to surface once in a while -

DBastian: Great news ... i just made it to the next reviewer level!!! Celebrate!!!
Jen Gentry: Man I am so so close need like 100 more points to get that next reviewer star LOL Congrats -
MumEsGirl: Well done on clawing your way up the reviewing ladder. I gave up even checking my status a long time ago. Your poem was original, it was about your feelings, in fact that makes it unique
    hugs
    kate -
    Melspoems: :) hi -
    DBastian: I get it! -
