electrickids3: fanstory is way too expensive points wise. you have to keep buying certs to get your stuff read. you earn the points by reading. concept fine but in practise its mean. i got 7 dollars...a cert costs 6....it takes on average 10 comments from me to earn 1 dollar. but two reviews my cert closes. thats 2 readers for one poem. !!! thats mean. and though i love going up the ranks what must it feel like to go down or never rise beyond a low level? and besides my poetry sits here day after day not being read unless people are 'paid'...but i don't write or think like that. if its good people want to read it and if moved they will comment. somehow the emphasis has changed and its detrimental. something is wrong that each poem must be certed and each cert lasts 2 days or 2 reviews...i can't be on fanstory all day long earning points to pay people to read my stuff 1 poem at a time...i got my life; and poetry needs time and no pressures. beginning to think on... |

electrickids3: i did my podcast test. too quiet, pops, i tend to run words together...still recording is dead easy. next time do better and then i will upload to libsyn... tried to burn two films to dvd as well one okay [no editing] the other a mess [editing]...try again tonight with that one; but use my purpose bought corel suite... read that poetry book. got flattened. he's right, i should learn forms and be able to use them at will. i should be looser in descriptors; i have few...but he might have spared us his nasty opinions re female poets. so wound up self doubting all round. the idea of a poets journal a good one; ive already started a notebook for whatever occurs to me. but i never thought of observations. so...a sort of verbal diarrhoea is de riguer in poetry these days...will try to loosen up without becoming incoherent. |

electrickids3: the sheer pleasure of sitting in a clean, tidy and well organised home is mine today...mind it took hours because i have to keep resting; but now its smashing...if i recover from the pain/fatigue i may stick another one in...but really i need to catch up on my reading a la podcasts. but 1 book is about writing poetry so i will either be flattened or inspired!! |

electrickids3: a bit of a day yesterday. attended last class and am now entitled to directors certificate [foundation]. need to do editing, actually do it. the good news is that a few of my films are still on tape or memory of cameras so i didn't lose them. such a chore trying to restock computer; hard to remember what i had before...reading 'the practice of poetry' by r. skelton..i've decided to do it, the loosening up of language first then learning formal styles...he's right about so many things...its worth experimenting. entering another poem tonight then. |

electrickids3: tomorrow i get some money and will put some into fanstory...a bit puzzled by all the different certiicates...you buy attention, it seems. still i will give it a go. also i do not see where or how to bookmark faves though you can follow poets...i will get used to their system. entered my 'the meeting' into my first contest. see what happens, really. hope it does okay. its a bit unusual. |
