The Fishkeeper: The 3rd season of a TV series I'm watching is sadly disappointing. The characters are inconsistent and it's not very believable. Alas alas. There is, however, one save-grace new character who is in it briefly: a funny baddie. Don't I just love funny baddies? What I dislike A LOT about books and movies is when the main character and another major character end up being somehow related. Brothers, cousins, father and son...it's been done well before, but it's getting old. And unbelievable. If you suddenly find out the main character is the son of so-and-so, you begin to wonder if all the other characters actually have blood ties to the main character as well! It makes the world of the book/movie like anything can happen inside it no matter how far-fetched. |

The Fishkeeper: I think acting is linked to writing. I'm in a drama class and memorizing a scene from a play. I don't know what the play is about and only have so much information about the characters. From there on, I have to ask myself questions like: who is this person? What is she feeling and why? How will she react to things? What are her intentions, desires, beliefs? Kinda the same thing when I write a character. I need to know the answers to these questions to know more about the character and how he/she will act in a situation. |

The Fishkeeper: I've held these really fun short story readings at home where everyone has to write something to be read aloud. It's so much fun to hear others' creativity! |
