Loyd was born into a large family of eleven siblings and grew up as a simple country boy in the great state of North Carolina.

Loyd attributes his source of inspiration to parents who provided him with a strong Christian upbringing. His writing reflects a deep sense of family, religious, and down home Southern roots.

Loyd is married to his wife Kathy.

Loyd writings reflect a person who is thankful for each day God allows him to live and takes notice of the everyday common graces that many take for granted!

Loyd prefers the cool mountains and streams above the ocean and hot sand, but loves all of Gods creation.

Loyd loves America and respects and admires those who have served in the military to preserve her freedom!
