This is a cute and well-done poem.
The artwork, of course, is very good and appropriate. My body reacted a bit negatively to the art though, as I've fallen in recent years. :)
I thought this to be a strong poem if it is being entered in a contest. (It's still strong even if its not for a contest.) We are allowed so few words in these formats and I thought your choices were especially good.
My only question is: Do we fall because of the snow or because of the ice?

The snow becomes the ice due to the melting/re-freeze process, so it's up to you how technical you'd like to take a simple 5-7-5. 8-) 8-) Thank you for your review.

Oh my goodness! The moment before bones break and bruises appear on this poor soul! This is always my biggest fear with ice and snow so I bought myself a pair of boots with spikes! A fine write, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Very clever--take not our traction--earns your stars in itself! I'm with you on winter insofar as the ice--snow itself I can deal with. Cute title. Good luck. Cheers. LIZ

I don't know why but i find the picture funny, nice job. An attention getting title, I thought it will be a spiritual poetry. a short yet well written piece of poetry

I love this wording. It reminds me of the greatest fear I have in making my way around during the winter- slipping, sliding and falling.
To me this is the real Ode to Winter.
Very clever and creative.
good luck in the contest.
Regards
Mary
