This poem, From Afar, is a pointed letter to a parent who does not see the negative impact she has. This would be a powerful letter for any mother to realize was addressing her.

I emailed it to her (because I blocked her from my phone & Facebook yesterday too so she knows I?m serious!) so we will see if this hits home once & for all or not. Thanks for the review!!!

This is a well written poem and speaks to the very real pain of difficult relationships with those we love. Mom stuff is really difficult, I know this because I have a difficult mom as well. Good writing. Peace and best wishes.

A very well-written poem about self control is one of the most important attributes we can have because no one else know us as well as we know ourselves.

This should have been a rhyming poetry contest entry. I hope your relationship with your mother is better than what you described in your poem. Very nice job. Stay safe and stay healthy.

WOW!! Thank you!! That just game me chills!!! And unfortunately it?s not Re: My mom & I. She has some soul searching to do before she sees or ever hears from me again after what she did to me this weekend.

I know she loves me but she doesn?t like me (if that makes sense). I reminder the most of my bio dad out of all 3 of us girls and he?s the only man on earth she hates so I think that?s why. Oh well. Her problem & loss. Not mine.

Hello JPilcher, a marvelous Monday to you. I hope this review finds you well. Thank you for sharing your poem, i enjoyed reading it. I don't have enough time to tell you how many people I have to love from afar. I could relate to a lot of what you were saying in this piece. Good job and have a great day.

Verse 3 is so me.

Thank you!! Sometimes you have to do what?s best for you no matter how much it hurts to do it!!! I should?ve done this a long time ago (& tried to many of times but this time I?m standing my ground!). It?s going to take a lot more than just an apology for her to get me back in her life. I?m not holding my breath though!!

"We each have the choice to control emotions...." This is a very fine line, it makes lots of sense. I am trying to think about your poem here. i wish you the best.

But we can control how something makes us feel to some extent. We just have to train our brain. Checkout the audiobook ?Unf*ck Your Brain?.. Best purchase I ever made!! Every human should have to listen to it!! Seriously!!!
