Dear Linda, a very though provoking theme you have chosen for this post . and a wonderful illustration to go with it.
But I have one question about a word the the first line of the third stanza.
Did you intend to write "then walk away " rather than "than walk what walk away?"

It would be nice if we could 'just peek and walk away' we might get it right that way. There are too many doors to choose from, it's always tempting to enter the door with the golden handle, but it could open into something not very nice. That long corridor of life will show those doors that offer choices throughout your journey. This is a great poem, Linda, well done! :)) Sandra xx

This work has reached the exceptional level

"no sign of what's behind each door" How true this is of all the corridors we walk and all the doors we choose to enter. A very thought provoking poem and a very appropriate picture to help illustrate it.

This really is a lovely work of art. I like your journey down the long corridor, and yes so right there are no chances for a do over, even those that turned our well.

I like your metaphor of breathing dragons as it ushers in the thought of princesses and danger lurking where it seems it shouldn't.

A great read today, Linda. :)

A profound poem with thought provoking images throughout.
Life is a labyrinth of multiple corridors. Some corridors and doors are bad choices and some remind us that we do have choices and beware. We don't have to make the choice again.

This brought to mind many of my "bad" choices over the years. Many choices were disguised in pretty wrappings.

Well done Linda.
Blessings
Janet
