Yes, we need to shield our Black sisters from hate and discrimination which is so destructive, distasteful and undeserved. Your poem is powerful and weighty, and has the strength of truth behind it. Black girls, especially, need to understand that they are significant -- important enough to change the world. Think especially of Black girls in underdeveloped countries, and how slim their chances are, of even getting an education, or surviving to adulthood or old age -- and yet their potential is the same as anyone who ends up in a middle class college.
No one in this world should suffer because of how they look or where they come from. Each soul is of infinite value, in the sight of God. It's time that we started treating each other that way.

This is a well written and lovely tribute to incredible black women and who they can be and are in the world. I like to think that all of us women can be those things as being an amazing woman is something we can all aspire to. Nicely written poem.

Excellent writing. Nice rhyme and flow. The black woman I wrap my arms around you to shield you from hate , it is our time now to protect you. Very empathetic poem I agree with these words wholeheartedly. Well done.

A tribute to a particular section of the population and the prejudice they may be suffering. Women in general still get a raw deal in society and equality is still an issue and you mention black women here in your write who may be struggling in today's society, food for thought here, love Dolly x
