I wouldn't have suspected you of having these feelings, but I'm sure they touched a chord with many. This is especially powerful to me because the city where I live is concerned about football players wearing Blue Lives Matter masks because it makes Black students feel unsafe. There wouldn't be a complaint if they wore Black Lives Matter masks. Congratulations on your contest win. You covered a lot of points and did it with expert rhyme and flow. Hate is not the answer, as you write. judi

Thank you for the fantastic review, Gypsy. Yeah, I just had to speak my mind. Hey, everyone else can cry and moan why can't I? Lol. I actually had it promoted up to over 70 cents there for a few days. Sorry you missed out on all the treasures there. Glad to see you faved the piece and jumped on as a fan. I've had those same type of feelings Dragon. Thought the way you composed this piece with your intelligent questions addressing all anger and anguish you have with the media was very well articulated , especially those about how the minds of the naive are being poisoned. Great job with this poem.

There are so many good poits in this piece. I saw a think online just the other day talking about a special education teacher who was physical with a child. It made a point to say it was a "black kid." I don't know why it just can't be a kid.

I have to agree with you, it's becoming OTT. There are many opportunities out there, and people of all races, creeds and colour have taken them up. Obama, claimed the highest job in the world! We have news readers on the television, most of our top sportsmen and women are black. Those that shout oppression, are those that don't want to get on. Yes, there are racist police that need to be taken out. Your poem is brilliant. They rhyme and rhythm spot on. What needs to be told are all the white people who are sleeping in doorways because they are homeless, white people know suffering just like everyone else. Well done, and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

When the roles are reversed and a black cop shoots a white guy, it barely even makes the news. I'm just tired of hearing how they have it all so bad. We've all had it bad. We just don't burn our own cities down over it.
