I wonder about that query you pose. Climbing up the social ladder one rung at a time would be okay- but how does one socially distance when being first...being best....and possibly knocking someone over/down in the process is valued by some in our society.
I think the entry is a great one and the question is difficult to answer.
I enjoyed this entry.

I think this states the exact thing we still see that people are still climbing that ladder. Perhaps social distancing isn't so difficult in the corporate arena.

I, myself, find it incredibly difficult to "social distance," but then again, in my state of Michigan, this entire pandemic has become a farcical ploy of a draconian governor bent on furthering her political career rather than treating her constituents as intelligent adults. Oops! Got carried away!
