Your poem reminds me of the Temptation's song Ball of Confusion. WShen I was a kid there was a comic book, Kamandi Last Boy on Earth, where animals had human traits and ruled the earth. Your poem reminded me of that.

Well I'm so glad I brought back some memories.
The actual idea did not come up on my own completely the words I found but turning animals in the future into humans is my own personal feelings about this world.
ThanksvEarl.
As always,

Hi Doc Ricky, I know it's been awhile, my friend. We're weathering a pandemic, many natural disasters in the world and social unrest, from sea to shining sea, and elsewhere on our globe.
You've written a very creative poem about one possible future of said globe, and in it, we've certainly made a mess of things -- even worse than the one we're in now!
So, the animals were smart enough to hide from us humans. Uncommon sense, eh?
In my personal life, there's been family illness, but thank God, my husband Jorge and Uncle Charlie are much improved; Mom is in terrible pain, much of the time. I pray for a miracle of healing.
We face challenges in many areas of life, but "God is our refuge and our strength, an ever present help in trouble." We are "leaning on the Everlasting Arms."
May He bless you, comfort you and strengthen you, my friend.

This is a dire outlook fot the future, or lack of for the human race. I hope we do better than this, I do have my doubts but i also have faith that we can learn and grow. Well written.
