Lovely photo! I see the point you are trying to make here. However, you contradict your point in the explanation. "Having the mind of an elephant," is one of the most used expressions for a reason. They are one of the smartest animals on earth. You probably don't want to argue that they will forget anything. Especially kind promises. Forgetfulness, is NOT what an elephant is known for.
You might try to present your argument from a different direction :) to prove your point.
