Very nice job with a rather complicated poetic structure! This poem reminds me of the relief from heat and fires my friend from California is hoping for! I love the line "sweet salvation's cooling kiss."

I happen to be someone who loves the summer and cries knowing fall/winter are on the way. I absolutely love the line, 'Now sweet salvation's cooling kiss' -very nice. I must say the fall is like a cooling kiss. Very nice image of fall. Veenbee

I must admit I really like those first two lines:
touch of Autumn brushed my cheek
such cool mystique
and such nice 's' alliteration in the last line of 'Summer's strain' as well. Good luck in that minute poem contest!
