Your skillfully-written, delightful minute poem definitely reveals the mindset of an autumn lover. I too love fall--especially mid-season. The artwork is perfect.

Dear Mystery Writer,

No, no, no! Though I love fall, I am not ready!! hahaha Noooooo, not yet, please! Let's don't hurry things along...

BUT - this piece IS gorgeous. Your format is just right, all syllables counts and other requirements are perfectly met.

Beyond that, the image AND the font/background colors work to make this into a true thing of beauty. (Wish I could do this!)

I like it a LOT - so far you're my fav. Thanks and good luck!

yeah, gotta say, I wasn't really ready either, but HERE it is: Fall!! ;) The weather changed on a dime almost and inspired this... gotta say, I am glad to bid summer 2020 good bye (and maybe even good riddance!). Thanks for the wonderful review!!

Your poem is so appropriate as we cope with the calamitous wild fires. We saw the sun yesterday for the first time since flames started. I admired the rhymes and description of a waning summer and its "chains". Best wishes in the Minute Poem contest. Here's to autumn- Joan

Yvette, I like your unique view of summer. Though there are some who will agree with you.
Fall is my favorite time of year, cool, and colorful. It's what comes after fall that I loathe the most. If it were not for Christmas, snow-climate. people like me would have colonized elsewhere.
Excellent work, Yvette. A beautiful point well-made.
Good luck with all your writing,
Cindy

Your writing here has very pleasing cadence and rhythm as well as speaking of the many ways Autumn can provide relief from the summer heat. Beautiful fall picture.

Yes! Autumn is my favorite holiday! Perfect temps, beautiful colors, Halloween. I've never been a big summer person myself. This is beautifully written and just rolls off the tounge.

I love the minute form, and you have used it beautifully -- 'as summer wanes, a touch of autumn brushed your cheek' sets the mood wonderfully, and then the idea of the mystery of the season... *Sigh* Magic!

A very well-written minute poem about Autumn that finally arrived after a hot summer season. It is my favourite season as well as Spring when the temperature is not too hot or too cold.

Well penned and timely as the summer heat is still fresh upon our skin as surely as a pricking nettle. This poem reminds me too of the coming winter when we look back to recall the glowing embers of fall that kept us mellow. Loren
