What I most enjoy about this piece is its universality. After reading everyone will take away a different interpretation of the motif. Little lies soon turn into big lies and also are so very well hidden by then, they are not even known as such.

I apologize for lack of a six, mystery poet. If this doesn't win the contest, I will protest. This is such a deep and insightful poem of our current situation and the lies that have held the hearts of our young for way too long. Just as you said, the hateful heart grows cold and eventually stops pumping blood, then dies. There's nothing that will resuscitate a dead heart.
