I think this is a good 5-7-5. It has quite a few rhymes with goo, doo-doo, accrue, poo, shoe. I guess the writing prompt did not want rhymes, but how clever to find them anyway. I caught 'd' alliteration, too, with 'doggy doo-doo did' in line two.
