I agree wholeheartedly. If votes were awarded to the degree of disgusting gross nastiness, your poem should in all honesty win by a landslide. However, there are still too many deluded Trump fans who seem quite capable of ignoring what is blatantly obvious to sensible people like us.

The worst fear I have is about the aftermath, following the elections; I thank you for your time and the encouraging review.

I think there may be shocking repercussions. I'm glad I don't live there. We are having a national election ourselves and the politicking is tame compared to USA. It still seems to bring out the nasty side of some people here, too.

hypocrisy is rampant in politics of today

Agreed. They say one thing, do another.

Well, your syllable count is good. The last line though seems to be missing a vital word for it to make perfect sense, but I get what you wanted to say.
I think is a difficult prompt, here why:
"The subject of Lowku is something gross, nasty, or disgusting we find in everyday life."
The issue is: disgusting "we" find in everyday life.
What you wrote about is what 'you' found disgusting. I will not debate your reasons, you are entitled to your opinion.
I think the prompt could have been clearer. I will not hold that against you.
