A very well-written 7/7 poem for the multi-author Renga book about the Ellie cat sleeping peacefully with only her chest rises and falls as the only movement.

Watching our pets sleeping makes us feel like caring protectors as we see their innocence on display, I felt those emotions when reading your words here, love Dolly x

Thank you for sharing your cat, Ellie with us. She really looks sound asleep. Your couplet follows the previous 5-7-5 haiku in the Renga book well. Big smiles- Joan

I like how you added your renga after the previous one that mentioned 'purring.' Your picture is adorable. I like the color scheme which sets off the cute kitty against the black background. Your words are descriptive. I could see Ellie as she slept.

Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

I love the clarity of this couplet for the renga book. Cats do have a way of making all things seem serene ... at times. lol

Excellent work and a pleasure to read and review today. :)

I like how you shifted the previous image towards an actual CAT.
Lovely description! Also, congratulations for placing second in the haiku contest! Well deserved!

This is an excellent follow-up poem for the Renga. The illustration, of course pairs perfectly and sets the stage for your words. This is nicely done.

Aww. That's so cute. Animals and babies are so delightful to observe sleeping. And when they dream - it's even more fun to imagine what they are acting out in their dreams.
